Rowan:
I am so inspired to break out my dandelion tea! I'll have a cup now. And Leslie Jo - no worries, you are right on schedule! I am weaning from caffeine right now (down from 2 cups of coffee a day to one), so I am ready for the plunge with dandelions. Rowan, any suggestions for sweetening? Agave Nectar maybe?
Love and Light Mama!

@Pamela Gourmet nothing.
I actually deported the stove about 5 years ago, and as roommates have cycled in&out it seems the no stove has been a screening tool. Folks who were freaking jazzed to have access to all the juicers, dehydrators and not mention the never ending stream of organic veggies and fermented foods have been the best roommates. Folks who had to cook their meat and couldn't believe we don't have a microwave wisely chose to live elsewhere.

In fact I have one roommate who hasn't lived in the house for three years who still brings by compost, chicken food, and will leave me money in the refrigerator where jars of cultures veggies once sat.

LOL ... my hubby and I are counting the days 'til we can put the stove on the curb. We'd do it now if not for the fact our four teens have convinced us they'd starve without it. We doubt it, but with four teens in the house we have to very carefully pick every battle. LOL.

So ... how many gourmet meals have you seen prepared since your roomies insisted they do the gourmet thing on a regular basis? Just curious. LOL.

Excellent review! My husband and I are desperate for a good dehydrator but were a little overwhelmed by all the ones we saw. We put so much local produce up in the summer, and our found-at-a-garage-sale snackmaster just wasn't doing the trick.

You are going to be my guru. I've been blindly stumbling around in this stuff but don't know enough to get it together. I'm dealing with the "butt shelf" .. am I going to have to give up caffeine? I'm turning 40 this year.. and trying to get it together. just recovering from the sleepless baby. So, I don't really know if I have adrenal fatigue or just fatigue!

I'm totally looking forward to your e-book. We dry fruits (plentiful up here in the NW and CHEAP.. even organic through the University). And, I've dabbled in cultured veggies, and kefir. SO.. what is the deal with dandelion tea? do I have to give up caffeine?
